After a long day of packing,  packing, packing yesterday and of airport-airplane-airport-airplane-airport today I am SO GLAD to be at our overnight “home”. This hotel is PERFECT for us! We walked in and there is a little nook for everyone. Stephan gets the pull out sofa bed, Violette’s little P’n’P fits nicely in front of the little vanity which is almost like a little room. There is a partition between the sofa bed and our king size bed. They have a pool. The lady who made us dinner was super sweet and really enjoyed being able to feed a family since mostly business people stay here and was so kind to Violette. Brought her little munchies with our dinner.

Makes the rest of the day just melt away.

So great we have already booked her again the night before we fly home at the crack of dawn. So close to the airport we’ll benefit from peace of mind and an extra hour or so of SLEEP!

Stephan was AMAZINGLY good the whole day and the airports and on the plane, which was great because once Violette got tired … and wouldn’t sleep, she was a bit of a pill. On our first flight she got away from me and ended up totally pulling the guy’s hair in the seat in front of us. HA! He didn’t have much, it was super short … but he still made sure it was all there and smoothed it back in place. Another guy was so sweet when she started fussing as we descended.  She wanted to get up and run up and down the aisles again and he was worried that she was suffering from the air pressure. Once he started smiling and talking to her she chilled out and forgot about running in the aisle. Our second pilot was super great as well, I feared for our lives with the first flight and the second was so smooth the whole time, takeoff and landing were perfect! Here’s to hoping our flights in and our of Phoenix are just as smooth.

I’m glad we have a week and a half before we have to turn around and do this again!
