After a busy week, I’m finally chilling at home.
Wednesday driving home from the sitters was insane. I’ve never experienced a winter thunder-SNOW-storm before. That was crazy. The roads were AWFUL and it was a little bizarre how the storm just came on within minutes. I drove to the sitters with it cloudy and seeing a snowflake here and there. Fifteen minutes later the snow started picking up as I was getting Stephan in the car to head to Target and then home. By the time I was five minutes into my trek home we were going 5-10 mph and there was a sheet of ice on the ground. The snow coming down was like a million little mini snowballs pelting my car. A drive that usually takes me 20 minutes took just about an hour. One of the main roads by my house was a lovely parking lot and we didn’t move much for 20 minutes. Stephan was bored and getting a bit crabby, but hung in there.
I was pushing to Target to get some Wii games in hopes of having a ton of snow and a snow day at home. I wanted something to do. So we got GH Metallica (an AWESOME game BTW), LEGO Batman, and Twilight Princess. Of course, no snow day. In fact, a mere 24 hours later, you’d neve know we even got any snow and it was cloudless, sunny and 61 degrees. Gotta love CO in the spring. Today is a little cooler, a little cloudier and we might get some rain. Tomorrow maybe snow again. Hope we make it to our haircuts which are bright and early, and maybe to the gym as well, before the snow hits.
I started watching the HBO series, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, and LOVE it. I’m not really all that far in, but it’s great. Beautiful, great acting, so glad Andy got me HBO so I could watch it. In fact, I’m going to go try and finish the movie pilot right now before Stephan wakes up from his nap.
