I think this is the combination of helicopters and roller coasters, though it may just be Stephan having a tough time with the r sound. With a little effort and reminder, he will say roller coaster.
We can thank the Nick theme park at the MOA for this new obsession.
For the past few days he’s been looking at the map of the theme park, which he refers to as a magazine, and talking about the rides. Seemingly planning his next trip there.
Today we went to the library and I asked him what kind of books he wanted to look for. He initially said cats, and I asked if he wanted to find books on airplanes, helicopters or roller coasters and he got excited about the idea of roller coasters. So we went in and asked the librarian to help us out. We got three books on coasters. There is one that is his favorite. He’s been looking at it since we left the library. First in the car, then at Target, finally at home. He is so loving the pictures and talking all about everything he knows from what he saw at the theme park. I’m somewhat amazed at how much he really did pick up the few hours we spent at the Nick park.
He’s such an amazing kid.
