The Life & Times of Mommiehood

Here I am finding my way through uncharted waters.

Today I discovered that adults can in fact get ear infections as well. I knew something was going on since I wasn’t getting better, slowly getting worse instead. The doc checked out my ear this morning and there’s fluid in there and she figures that’s where the lovely bacteria is hiding out. So now I’m on an antibiotic that should kill whatever bacteria is hiding and lurking pretty much anywhere in my system.

Now Stephan and I are both dealing with the same crud.

Did I mention that I hate being sick, and that I kinda turn into a bit of a monster when I am tired and feel awful?

And tomorrow I have to go to work for my three day work week. YAY!

The drugs they gave Stephan seemed to get him feeling significantly better within 24 hours so I’m hoping the same for me. I’ve got so much to do when I get to school tomorrow. It’s ridiculous. Reports, meetings, getting ready for group, and several kids to check in with as I haven’t seen them since before Christmas. I’m not really looking forward to it, but calling in sick like I want too will only make things worse in the long run.

At least I can continue to rest today and try and get myself to bed early.

And Stephan’s also getting a little better about taking his antibiotics too. He still fights us , but I was able to get down the whole dose in one shot this morning!
